Brown Gnome Bakery is a lifelong dream come true. I’ve spent the last decade working in bakeries, and one thing that always stays the same is the joy that comes with receiving scratch-made baked goods. There’s nothing like it, and our mission at Brown Gnome is to spread as much of that delicious joy as possible.

I have always had a passion for creating baked goods, and sharing them with family and friends. I believe the best desserts are visually unforgettable, appetizingly nostalgic, and most importantly—that you can taste the love in every single bite.

Each of our items combine traditional southern baking and passed-down family recipes with the unique flavors of the PNW. I hope every bite tastes a little like home, wherever that may be.

operations/wholesale

Born and raised in Oregon, I’ve been working in the food industry for over a decade. I love making good food, eating it, and the community that comes with sharing it.

Together with my partner, we strive to bring fresh, fun local ingredients and products to the community. My goal here at Brown Gnome bakery is to spread the awesome—everyone deserves something delicious.

Meet our star ingredients.

It all begins with the best farmers, producers, and artisans. we source the most delicious, unique, and ethically produced ingredients possible (because it makes our products as delicious as possible).

hazelnuts

A true Oregon favorite. Based in St. Paul, Oregon, Ken and June’s Hazelnuts has been growing the most delicious hazelnuts since 1957.

vanilla

Vanilla is the base flavor for a multitude of pastry, and the right vanilla makes all the difference. Singing Dog Vanilla is ethically sourced and locally produced in Eugene, Oregon.

lavender

Floral, reminiscent of spring—we love lavender here. We use two types of Oregon lavender, both sourced from Hood River Lavender farms.

chocolate

The right chocolate can elevate almost any dessert. Callebaut Belgian Chocolate is among the best in the world, and has been produced since 1911.

sea salt

Salt: the unsung hero of every dish, sweet or savory. Jacobson Salt Co. has been harvesting its salt from Netarts Bay, Oregon, since 2011.

pecans

Any southerner knows the best pecans come from Georgia—so we get them shipped directly from Pearson Farm in Fort Valley, GA, a family-owned and operated farm since 1885.
